Which laptops do you buy?
We buy business laptops from Lenovo, Dell and HP, including ThinkPad, Latitude, XPS, EliteBook and ProBook models. We also buy common home and student laptops such as Inspiron, IdeaPad and Pavilion.
Gaming laptops are also accepted. ASUS ROG and TUF, Lenovo Legion, Acer Predator and Nitro, HP Omen and MSI models are valued according to their processor, graphics card, memory, storage and condition.
Older and faulty laptops are not automatically scrap. Cracked screens, worn batteries, broken hinges, missing keys and machines that do not power on can still have value depending on what remains usable.
What about MacBooks?

How much is my laptop worth?
The exact model is the best place to start. Processor generation, RAM, storage, screen condition and the overall condition then help determine the value.
A recent business laptop with 16GB RAM and an SSD can retain useful resale value even with normal cosmetic wear. An older laptop with a slow processor, damaged screen or major hardware fault may be valued mainly for its usable components.
You do not need to work out the value yourself. Send us a photo of the model sticker and the laptop, and we can assess it before collection.
Gaming laptops
For gaming laptops, the graphics card is particularly important. Include the GPU model whenever possible. Cooling condition, screen, battery, RAM and storage also affect the offer.

Who can sell
Can businesses sell a batch of laptops?
Yes. We buy individual laptops as well as company and school fleets. For multiple machines, send a list with the model, specification, quantity and condition.
Group identical laptops together. For example, instead of sending twenty separate messages, you can send: 20 × Dell Latitude 5420, Core i5, 16GB, 256GB SSD, working.
If the laptops are still managed by your organisation, remove them from the relevant management or ownership system before resale. This can include Microsoft account registration, Intune, Autopilot, domain management or BIOS passwords.

What to send
What information do you need?
The most useful thing is a clear photo of the model sticker on the underside of the laptop. You can also send a photo of the laptop itself and its screen.
If you know the processor, RAM and storage, include them as well. For gaming laptops, always include the graphics card if you know it.
Tell us about important faults such as a cracked screen, broken hinge, damaged charging port, missing keys, battery problems or a laptop that does not turn on. An accurate description helps us give you a realistic valuation before collection.
What about the charger?
Include the original charger if you have it. A missing charger can reduce the value, particularly when the laptop uses a specific or higher-powered adapter.

Before collection, make sure important personal accounts and data are removed from the laptop. If the device belongs to a company, confirm that it has been released from the company's management systems.
Old or faulty laptops
A laptop does not need to be perfect to have value. Older processors, damaged screens, faulty batteries, broken hinges and power problems can still leave useful components.
If the laptop cannot be resold as a complete working machine, we can assess it based on the parts and condition instead. The important thing is to describe the fault clearly when requesting the valuation.
Company laptops and data
Businesses should remove company accounts, management restrictions and sensitive data before handing over equipment. If your IT team needs to retain the storage drive, tell us. We can assess the laptop without the drive where appropriate.
Before collection
What should I do before selling my laptop?
Back up any files you need and sign out of your personal accounts. Remove the device from your Microsoft or other account where applicable.
Company-owned laptops should be released from organisational management systems before collection. This includes device management, Autopilot or similar controls. BIOS or supervisor passwords should also be removed.
If you want to keep the storage drive, remove it before collection and tell us. We can assess the remaining laptop separately.
Tell us about faults
Do not wait until collection to mention a problem. Tell us if the laptop has a swollen battery, damaged screen, liquid damage, broken hinge, missing charger or another significant fault.
This allows us to assess the laptop correctly and avoid unnecessary changes to the agreed valuation.

How much is my laptop worth?

Where do I find my laptop's model number?
The model number is usually printed on a sticker underneath the laptop. On Windows, you can also open System Information and check the System Model field. Sending a clear photo of the sticker is usually the easiest option.
Do you buy laptops with a broken screen or faulty battery?
Yes. We buy laptops with cracked screens, battery problems, damaged hinges and other faults. The condition affects the offer, so describe any major damage when requesting your valuation.
What about a laptop that will not turn on?
Yes, we can still assess it. A laptop that does not power on may have value based on its screen, memory, storage, motherboard and other usable components. Tell us what happened and any symptoms you know about.
