Network switches
Sell your used network switches in the UAE
We buy used network switches from offices, schools and IT rooms across the UAE. Managed, unmanaged, PoE and gigabit or faster. Send the model from the sticker, the port count and a photo of the front. You get a cash price before we collect.

What we buy
What types of network switches do you buy?
We buy the switches businesses actually retire: 8-, 16-, 24- and 48-port units, rackmount and desktop. Gigabit is the common case. Faster ports (10Gb, 25Gb, 40Gb) and SFP or SFP+ cages are bought too, as long as we can identify the model.
Brands we see most: Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Meraki, HP and Aruba, Ubiquiti UniFi, Netgear, D-Link, Dell, Juniper, MikroTik and TP-Link business lines. The logo on the front is not enough. The model string on the rear or underside sticker is what we price.
Routers, firewalls and wireless access points can go on the same list. If the clearance is mostly desktops, monitors and printers with a couple of switches, start on office IT equipment. If the job is the comms rack, stay on this page.
Indicative range
AED150 – 5,000
Indicative range per switch. A named Cisco or Aruba 48-port PoE unit is not the same sale as an unnamed 8-port plastic box. The sticker model sets the figure.
Switch types
Managed, unmanaged, PoE or 10Gb — which switch is this?
These are the questions sellers actually send. We buy all of them. The type changes the offer because it changes who can use the switch next.
| Type | How to tell | What it means for your offer |
|---|---|---|
| Unmanaged | No web page, no console port. Plug in and it works. Often a small metal or plastic case. | Still a sale if it is gigabit and complete. 24- and 48-port metal units hold better than a home 5- or 8-port plastic switch. |
| Managed | A console port, a management IP, or a name like Catalyst, Aruba, UniFi Switch. | Usually worth more than unmanaged of the same port count, if the model still has a business resale market. Send the exact model, not “a managed Cisco”. |
| PoE / PoE+ | The sticker or front print says PoE, PoE+ or PoE++. Used for phones, cameras and access points. | PoE is worth more than the same model without it. Say how many ports and whether it is PoE or PoE+. Missing the power supply on a PoE switch hurts the figure. |
| Gigabit and faster | Ports marked 1G, 10G, SFP, SFP+ or QSFP. Older 10/100-only units still exist. | Gigabit is the baseline. 10Gb and up can be worth more if the model is known. Fast Ethernet only is usually a low figure unless it is a named enterprise chassis. |
Enterprise switches (Cisco Catalyst and Nexus, Aruba, Juniper) are priced as business hardware, not as a shop 8-port. A leftover consumer switch in a drawer is still accepted. Do not mix them into one line on the list. Write each model separately.
Valuation
What changes the cash offer on a used switch?
We do not publish a live AED number for each Cisco or Aruba model. Those move. Send the sticker photo and we will give you a figure for the unit you actually have.
A named Cisco or Aruba unit is not scrap. An unnamed 8-port often is close to it. Both can leave in the same collection if you list them as separate lines.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Brand and model | WS-C2960, C9200, Aruba 2930F, USW-48-PoE. That string is the sale. “Cisco switch” is not. |
| Port count | 8, 24 and 48 ports are the usual bands. More ports are not always more money if the speed or PoE budget is low. |
| Speed | Gigabit versus 10Gb versus leftover 10/100. SFP cages on the back should be mentioned. |
| PoE | PoE and PoE+ raise the offer against the same data-only model. Say it clearly in the first message. |
| Condition | Powers on, ports light, fans quiet. Bent SFP cages, missing ears or a dead PSU need to be stated. |
| Age | Recent business models have a wider resale market. Very old Fast Ethernet is often parts or scrap money. |
| Accessories | Power supply, rack ears, SFP or SFP+ modules, stacking cables. A switch without its brick is incomplete. |
One or many
Selling one switch versus a stack or a comms room
One switch is a sale. Send the model and a photo. You do not need a spreadsheet.
Several identical units are easier. Write one line: model, port count, PoE or not, quantity, condition. Example: 8 × Aruba 2930F 24G PoE+, working, rack ears included.
A mixed comms room — switches, a firewall, access points, a UPS — should be one list, not one WhatsApp per box. We quote per line. Dead or leftover units can sit at the bottom as a lot.
Still in the rack
If the switches are still mounted and patched, say so. We can collect from a comms room or a rack. Do not cut the ears off to “make them lighter”. Rack ears and the original power supplies are part of the sale.
What to send
What should I send for a switch quote?
The sticker does more work than a paragraph. If you cannot read the model, photograph it anyway. We identify most Cisco, HP, Aruba and UniFi units from that label.
For a batch, group identical units. Do not send twenty photos of the same beige face. One clear front, one sticker, and the quantity.
Enough for a figure
- Photo of the front (ports and SFP cages)
- Photo of the rear or underside sticker (model and serial)
- Port count and speed if you know them
- PoE or not
- Powers on, dead, or not tested
- Power supply, rack ears, SFP modules, stacking cable
- Quantity if you have more than one of the same model
- City and whether they are still in a rack
Process
How does the quote and collection work?
Send the model, photos and quantity. We reply with a cash price. We do not collect until you accept that price. After we check the switches match what you sent, we pay by cash or bank transfer and leave a record of what was bought.
We cover the UAE, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Al Ain. One switch and a full comms rack are different visits. Tell us the city and whether we need a loading bay or a service lift.
Business collections
Offices, schools and IT rooms can send an asset list. If units are still live, say when they can be powered down. Access passes, escorted entry and out-of-hours windows are normal. Send those rules with the list, not on the morning of collection.
Patch leads and leftover cables can stay in a bag. We will not ask you to unpick a tidy rack into twenty separate boxes unless you want to. A mixed lot of switches plus a server in the same rack is one job.
How to identify yours
How to read the sticker, SFP modules and missing power supplies
Turn the switch around. The model is on a printed sticker, not on the front silk-screen. Cisco often looks like WS-C2960X-48FPS-L or C9200-24P. Aruba looks like JL255A or 2930F. UniFi looks like US-24-250W or USW-Pro-48-PoE. Copy that string into the first message.
SFP and SFP+ modules in the cages are separate lines if they are named (Cisco GLC-LH-SMD, a 10G-SR, and so on). Generic unnamed sticks are worth less. Do not pull them unless you already have. Photograph the rear with the modules in place.
Power supplies and stacking
Desktop and small-business switches often use an external brick. If that brick is missing, say so. Rack units with two hot-swap PSUs should keep both. A dual-PSU chassis with one PSU missing is still a sale. It is not the same as a complete unit.
Stacking cables and stack modules belong with the switches they came from. A pair of stacked 48-port units sold together is cleaner than selling one and keeping the cable.
Licensing and cloud accounts
Meraki and some UniFi gear is tied to a cloud account. Release it before sale, or tell us it is still claimed. A locked Meraki unit is not resaleable until the organisation releases it. We will wait. We will not buy around a lock.
FAQ
Network switch questions
Managed and unmanaged, PoE, Cisco and Aruba, one unit or a stack, photos, dead switches, and office collection.
What network switches do you buy?
Managed and unmanaged switches, PoE and non-PoE, gigabit and faster. Common names are Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Meraki, HP and Aruba, Ubiquiti UniFi, Netgear, D-Link and other business brands. A home 8-port plastic switch is a different sale from a 48-port rack unit with SFP cages.
How is a used network switch valued?
Brand, exact model, port count, port speed, PoE or not, condition and age. Accessories change the figure: power supplies, rack ears, SFP or SFP+ modules, stacking cables. Two switches that look the same from the front can be far apart if one is PoE+ and the other is not.
Is a managed switch worth more than an unmanaged one?
Usually, yes, if it is a known business model that still has a resale market. Unmanaged gigabit switches still sell, especially in 24- and 48-port metal cases. Consumer plastic switches sit at the bottom. Send the model from the sticker rather than writing “a Cisco” or “a Netgear”.
Do you buy PoE switches?
Yes. PoE, PoE+ and higher-power PoE models are bought regularly because offices use them for access points, phones and cameras. Tell us it is PoE and how many ports. A 24-port PoE unit is not priced the same as a 24-port data-only unit of the same family.
Do you buy Cisco, HP, Aruba and UniFi switches?
Yes. Cisco, HP, Aruba and Ubiquiti are the names we see most from UAE offices. We also assess Juniper, MikroTik, Dell, TP-Link business and others. The model string on the rear or underside sticker is what we need, not the logo on the front.
Can I sell one switch, or only a full stack?
One switch is enough. Ten identical 48-port units is also enough. For a batch, send one model, the quantity, and whether every unit is complete. Mixed brands in one comms room can go in the same message as a list, not as ten separate conversations.
What photos and details should I send for a quote?
A photo of the front (ports and any SFP cages), a photo of the rear or underside sticker with the model and serial, and a note on condition: powers on, dead, missing power supply, bent cage. If you have the extra PSU, SFP modules or stacking cable, photograph those too.
Do you buy switches that will not power on?
Yes. A dead switch can still have value as parts or as a known model that is worth repairing. Say that it does not power on. Missing the original power brick on a desktop-style switch drops the offer more than a scratch on the lid.
Do you collect switches from offices and comms rooms?
Yes. One switch can be a simple collection. A rack of switches, routers and a firewall is a site visit. Tell us if units are still mounted, still patched, or already on a shelf. We cover the UAE, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates.
Can I include routers, firewalls and access points in the same sale?
Yes. Put them on the same list. A mixed networking clearance is normal. If the job is mostly desktops and printers with a couple of switches, start on the office IT page. If the job is switches, keep it here and add the other boxes as extra lines.
