Sell HP EliteDesk & ProDesk Mini and SFF PCs in the UAE
Most buyers price an HP business desktop on four things: the generation, the processor, the memory type and the storage. Two PCs that look identical on a desk can sit far apart, mainly because of the generation.

ProDesk 400, ProDesk 600 or EliteDesk 800?
HP sells three tiers, and the tier changes what the PC can do. The label on the front tells you where to start.
The ProDesk 400 is the entry tier. The ProDesk 600 and EliteDesk 800 sit higher and usually offer more memory slots, better management features and room for more drives. Check the exact model on the sticker or in the BIOS before you message anyone.
One thing confuses sellers. HP skipped G7 on Intel desktops. The order runs G4, G5, G6, then G8, then G9. So a G8 is newer than a G6, and there is no G7 to look for. HP also renamed the G9 line as Elite and Pro, so you may see “Elite Mini 800 G9” instead of “EliteDesk 800 G9”.
Mini or SFF: What You Actually Own
The Desktop Mini is a one-litre box. The SFF is a larger small-form-factor case. Both are common in offices, and both sell.
The Mini comes in lower-power versions and higher-power ones with better cooling. The higher-power Mini usually ships with a larger power adapter, so check which charger came with yours. A missing original adapter lowers the offer.
A few Minis shipped with rare extras such as a discrete graphics chip or a second M.2 slot. If you have one, say so. Those are the units buyers ask for.
What Moves an HP Desktop Offer
| Factor | Raises the offer | Lowers the offer |
| Generation | G8 or G9 | G4 or G5 |
| Memory | DDR5 (some G9), 16GB or more | 4GB, mismatched sticks |
| Storage | NVMe SSD, 512GB or more | Small or old hard drive |
| Rear cards | Flex IO with Thunderbolt or USB-C | None, or damaged ports |
| Power | Original adapter included | Missing adapter |
| Locks | BIOS password cleared | BIOS or management lock |
Flex IO and Memory
Some HP desktops have a swappable rear port module called Flex IO. It adds ports like Thunderbolt, USB-C or extra network, so a fitted card helps resale.
Look at the back of the PC. If there is a removable module, note what it offers. Do not remove it. A complete unit is easier to test and sell.
Memory matters too. Older generations and the ProDesk 400 G9 use DDR4. Some Elite G9 models use DDR5, which buyers prefer. HP lists the exact options in its Elite Mini 800 G9 datasheet and Elite SFF 800 G9 datasheet. For an older unit, see the EliteDesk 800 G6 SFF specs .
Tip: the product number on the sticker can end in a regional code such as #ABV. Photograph it. It helps a buyer confirm the exact build.
Before You Send Details
- Clear any BIOS password.
- Wipe the drive, or pull it and keep it. We price the PC as drive-removed.
- Keep the CPU and RAM inside. Stripping a working PC usually lowers its value. See our OptiPlex whole vs parts guide for the reasoning.
One PC or a Whole Office?
One seller needs a clear assessment. An office needs one list and one visit.
For a batch, group identical units on one line:
20 × HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Mini, i5, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, with adapters
List faulty units on separate lines. For 10 or more PCs, use our office IT equipment buyback page.
